This is what you should have engraved on your dog's ID disc. You will need this to pass any Good Citizen Dog Scheme level. It also the law in England that every dog should have an ID disc when walking in a public place.
Note, it is highly recommended NOT to put your dog's name on the disc.

]]> http://tahamasa.org.uk/page2.php?post=35 GCDS tests 4/16/2014 8:41:15 AM Had a great week this week. We had the Tuesday night Puppy foundation class graduate and now go into the Bronze level, and last night saw two classes at Bronze level go through their test. Thanks to Alyson Carmichael of the Scottish Border Collie Dog Training for coming along and putting our handlers and dogs through their paces.
I'm pleased to say we had a 90% pass level last night. So we are all really pleased with ourselves. Well done everybody for taking part and making it a huge success.

WE HAVE SMALL RELAXED CLASSES PROVIDING HIGH QUALITY TRAINING FROM EXPERIENCED AND QUALIFIED TRAINERS.
WHEN CHOOSING WHICH TRAINING ORGANISATION TO GO TO, CHOOSE WISELY. ASK CAN YOU GO ALONG TO CHECK THEM OUT AND SEE FOR YOUR SELF. THEN MAKE UP YOUR MIND.
THE WRONG KIND OF TRAINER CAN CREATE BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS WERE BEFORE NONE EXISTED. MODERN TRAINERS HAVE SOME FORM OF BEHAVIOURAL QUALIFICATION AS WELL AS COMPANION DOG TRAINING EXPERIENCE.
IN ORDER TO COMMUNICATE WITH OUR DOGS WE NEED TO KNOW HOW THEY THINK AND WHAT MOTIVATES THEM.
CHOOSE CAREFULLY.

]]> http://tahamasa.org.uk/page2.php?post=19 Recipe for Liver cake 1/23/2013 1:58:36 PM Ok I was asked how do I make the liver cake treats I sometimes use.
Here is the recipe and the method of making. Enjoy.

Liver Cake Recipe

Liver cake is my favourite weapon of choice when it comes to tasty treats. Dogs love liver but can be too rich for them. Liver cake is the choice of many obedience and show handlers. It's inexpensive, not as rich as rare liver and can be frozen.

Ingredients

  • 1Lb (450g) lamb or ox liver.
  • 1Lb (450g) self raising flour.
  • 3 eggs.
  • milk or water.

Method

  • Crack the eggs into a measuring jug.
  • Add an equal volume of milk or water to the measuring jug and whisk.
  • Blend the liver in a food processor.
  • Add the egg mixture and blend to a sponge mixture consistency.
  • Empty contents into a baking tray.
  • Bake at 180 degrees for 35 - 45 minutes.
  • Allow to cool.
  • Divide into 12 pieces and freeze.
